Our pre – and post-construction monitoring program is carefully tailored in collaboration with our client, and we take into consideration tailored in collaboration with our client, by taking into consideration the type of structure to be monitored, its use, the owner’s constraints, and the proximity and potential for impact from construction-related activities.

ANS Consultants can help develop a monitoring plan based on our experience and project requirements, or follow client-provided specifications for monitoring.   We’ve completing monitoring for both private and public clients, as well as transit and infrastructure agencies such as AMTRAK, NJ Transit, NJDOT, NYSDOT, and others.

Pre-Construction Services
     • Our staff will inspect the interior and exterior of any buildings and structures within the project limits or radius of influence to determine pre-construction or baseline conditions.
     • If blasting, impact-driving, or vibratory activities are being completed, we will tailor specific vibration limits, displacement thresholds, and radius of influence for the expected activity.
     • We can perform continuous, real-time vibration, air blast, and noise monitoring during site activities using both remote sensors, as well as professionally manned survey tools.
     • Our staff are able to provide a Pre-Construction Survey Report with all documented existing conditions prior to construction including photographs, inspection notes, and available historical data.

During and Post-Construction Services
     • Our staff provide construction monitoring during construction including:
          • Vibration monitoring
          • Survey monitoring such as heave/settlement points, settlement platform, vibrating wire piezometers
          • Deflection measurement including inclinometers, tiltmeters, and crack gages.  
     • Based on project specification, we can provide continue monitoring hourly, daily, weekly, and bi-weekly, whichever is applicable.
     • Throughout the duration of our work, and at the conclusion of each project, we can provide a Post-Construction Survey Report with all monitoring data throughout the construction phase and post-construction inspection data.
